When Favour Seun Daley Oladele informed her parents that she would be traveling to visit a friend, little did they know that would be the last time they would ever see or speak to their daughter again. The vibrant, young, 22year old students life was cut short by the cruel and heartless person she called “friend”.
On the 8th of December, 2019, Favour was gruesomely murdered at Ikoyi Ile,Osun State.
Favour Seun Daley Oladele, was a 400 level Theater Arts student of the Lagos State University (LASU). She had gone home to visit her parents and while in church, Favour received a call from Owolabi Adeeko, an ex student of LASU and a friend of hers whom she had met two months ago. He had asked her to meet up with him. She told her parents she would be going to school and also see a friend that afternoon. Her father wished her the best of luck in her forth coming final examination as she left home. That was the last time he set eyes on his daughter.
Favour’s phone couldn’t be reached and she had not called to inform her parents of her arrival at school, which was unusual of her.
Owolabi Adeeko, his mother Mrs Adeeko and Prophet Seun Philip had abducted Favour and gruesomely murdered her for ritual purposes.
During their interrogation, Owolabi confessed to have invited Favour to n undisclosed location and there after driven her in a Black Honda to Fortress Hotel, Ikoyi Ile. He and his mother, Mrs Adeeko later lured her to Prophet Segun Philip’s place under the guise of visiting an uncle. Favour had already been drugged at the hotel, as so could not resist or put up a fight. They simply put her under a tree next to a well which they had dug up. Favours remains would later be dumped in the well.
Owolabi Adeeko confessed to smashing Favours head with a pestle. Prophet Seun Philips then used a sharp knife to cut open Favour’s throat. The Prophet also admitted to cutting out her heart and certain parts of her body. According to him, he used the body parts to prepare native stew (Aseje) for Owolabi’s mother.
Mrs Adeeko confessed to eating the native stew, so that her family misfortunes could be changed and they could become rich.
Apparently, it appears that these evil doers are not remorseful but are rather confident that nothing will come out of the case as they boasted that they would soon be released by the police. Owolabi Adeeko and Prophet Philip were very vocal and confident in their proclamations.
The family and friends of Favour Seun Daley Oladele are counting on well meaning Nigerians, The Governing body of the Lagos State University, Student Union groups, NGOs and all media agencies to rise up and demand justice for Favour.
