Two female members of the Deeper Life Church, Isolo branch, have been brought before the Isolo Magistrate court in Lagos over allegations of husband snatching and public fighting. Both women are married.
The women, Nwazema Oluchukwu, 58, and Alloy Njoku, 34, were charged before to court by the Police for fighting over Chizoba’s husband, Alloy Benson Njoku.
The two women who worship at the same branch of the church and hail from the Owerri, Imo state, were married with children.
Oluchukwu alleged that Benson was her lover who she introduced to Chozoba while she was still married. She further claimed that Benson and Chizoba were not married but cohabiting despite having three children together. Chizoba got wind of the fact that Benson had moved in with Oluchukwu and went there to confront them. A fight broke out and the women were arrested by a Police patrol passing by the area, they were them taken to the station.
The women were charged before Isolo Magistrate’s court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace under the Criminal Code.
