Pastor Moses Oyeleke , a  Pastor with Living Faith Church a.k.a Winners Chapel, who was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in May has regained his freedom. He had spent seven months in captivity.

The Pastor was abducted alone with a corps member, Abraham Amula, while on their way to Chibok to evangelize and also distribute relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons. He was freed on Sunday 10th of November but Abraham was not released because the insurgents accused him of being stubborn. He is however expected to be released in December.

A student of Government Science Secondary School in Askira Uba, identified as Nnagilaya Umar, also regained her freedom.

The release of the captives was facilitated by two non-governmental organizations: Initiative for Peace Building Movement and the Kalthum Foundation for Peace.
