A debate erupted on Facebook following a video posted by an Igbo lady called Lisar Kalu. In the video, Lisar shared a list of things she considered taboos for a married Igbo woman to do. Top of that list was farting in from of her husband.

Yup, that’s right. Lisar says it’s a taboo for an Igbo woman to fart in the presence of her husband. She didn’t stop there. Nope.

Lisar said the man is the only one allowed to fart in the presence of his wife and kids and when he does that, the wife should go on her knees, hailing the husband and showering him with all kinds of praises in Igbo. Women are to give men respect for farting in front of them.

If this is not the most ridiculous this ever, I don’t know what is .

Brace up, there’s more.

An Igbo woman must not drink beer in the presence of her husband. Any man that allows her do that is weak.

Thankfully, she was challenged and countered by both men and women. Some women responded by telling her they fart in front of their husbands and the men like it, while the men told her they like their wives drinking beer with them.
